New Kitchen – Malton in Stone Elm & Remo in Matt Porcelain
Client from Mansfield (December 2019)
This stunning kitchen completed just before Christmas 2019 was for a couple in Mansfield and they have kindly agreed to let us share photographs of their new kitchen diner and utility room.
The brief was to design a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast area and a utility room. The kitchen was to be part of an open plan area so had to look beautiful and stylish enough to be part of a living, dining and lounge area.
Apart from providing a beautiful kitchen, the main points of the brief were to plan in more storage and work surface space with high quality appliances. The client wanted to dispense with the need for a kettle, so we installed a Quooker boiling water tap which has proved a big hit.
After consultation with their own personal designer, the client chose two different door types to complement each other, the Malton handless in Stone Elm and the Remo in Matt Porcelain. The Stone Elm textured doors were used for base units and wall cupboards. The lighter coloured Remo in Matt Porcelain was used for a wall of units that housed a double oven and a Space Tower for extra storage. This wall of cupboards could have looked imposing in a darker colour but the pale Remo reflects light making a feature of the wall.
Appliances were from the Siemens 1Q700 range and included the ovens, an induction hob, a wine cooler, a built in dishwasher and laundry appliances which were housed in the utility room. A touch of additional luxury was added by using hardwearing quartz worktops in Snowy Ibiza.
The utility room was designed with matt white units and hardwearing Calcutta Marble work surfaces.
The client was highly delighted with the kitchen and was particularly pleased with their decision on the Siemens appliances, the boiling water tap and the quartz worktops.
